112 EMERGENCY HEALTH SERVİCES

In our city, we are serving for 247.503 people with 1 Command and Control Centre and 14 Stations of Emergency Health Services.67 doctors, 9 Paramedics, 55 ATTs, 29 health officers, 30 nurse, 7 midwife and 41 drivers are working in our 14 stations.The number of the ambulances in city 112 stations is 18, the total number of the ambulances is 41.

Since 2009, helicopter ambulances have been serving in our district. The helicopter ambulances situated in Antalya and serving for our district provides carriage for our many citizens to the health institutions out of our city in a fast and secure way.

THE HEALTH CARE FOR MOUTH ANS TOOTH

Considering our city from the aspect of mouth and tooth health care, health care services for mouth and tooth health have been given with the 25 unit and 3 expert dentists, 25 dentists in total.Each kind of operation carried out in the Mouth and Tooth Health Care Center is presented to the public with the same quality as the service given in private health care institutions, and removable and fixed dentures are done.

On the purpose of making our children aware of the mouth and tooth health and raising healhier generations, education of mouth and tooth health, and dental screening have been carried out for the students.

FAMILY PRACTICE APPLICATIONS

Our city passed to the Family Practice System on 14 July 2008. As a result of detailed researched done throughout the city, 71 Units of Family Practice has been planned. 47 of them have Mobile Health Service Districts. 32 buildings of Community Health Centers in which 71 Family Practice units will provide service have been turned into Family Practice Centers.106 villages, 11 towns and 61.282 populations are provided services by 47 family doctors in every mouth in the scope of mobile health services in our city.

MATERNAL AND INFANT HEALTH, AND FAMILY PLANNING

In order to raise the students’ awareness of inadequency of vitamin D at the level of the Ministry of Health, the Project of “ Preventing vitamin D inadequency in babies and Conserving Bone Health” is carried out.

In the framework of the Project “Turkey like iron” started at the level of the Ministry of the Health, 5.326 iron preparates have been distributed to 2.979 babies in 2009.

Our staff that has been trained about human milk and Breastfeeding Consultancy Trainer Education in the community health care center train our public about the benefits of human milk and breastfeeding in the city center and towns.

STUDIES RELATED TO INFECTIOUS AND EPIDEMIC DISEASES

So as to increase the importance and awereness of vaccine, surveys and vaccinations are carried out in the framework of the “Vaccine Week” activities celebrated with World health Organization and Europe. 3.507 individuals above 15 years old were vaccinated with Hepatitis B Vaccine last year.

Crimean-Congo Haemorrhagic Fever Disease, which has been an important public health problem since 2002 infects people from ticks. Individual protection is so important in fighting against this important public health problem. In our city 2.474 people applied for our hospitals in 2009 because of tickbite, blood specimen was taken from 6 suspicious incident and examined in virology labrotory, a negative result was taken.

Neonatal Mortality rate in our city is 0.7%.

In the scope of malariaeradication , 238.474 people has been visited, one of them has been found to be malaria and treated.

After a new visus was determined in America in 2009 and that virus passed from person to person, the studies related to flueinfluenza AH1N1 that was announced at the sixth grade by World health organisation were continued as the ways for recovering by the committee which city health master Dr. Hüseyin Özeren as a president, head doctors who are at our city2s hospital and at the epidemic watching committee, infection and clinic microbiology, pediatry, chess illness, public health, urgency specialists in.

Phrenitis, flue and polio vaccines are regularly done to Pilgrim candidates every year.

FOOD AND ENVIRONMENT CONTROL

Water sanitation studies are regularly and continously maintained in line with the provisions of the regulation concerning water intended for human consumption published in official journal of the number, 25732 and the date 17 February 2005 the memorandums about sanitation published by The Ministry of Health Basic health Services General Directorate on 7 July 2005.

Chlorator has been fixed into water tanks in all villages by Special Porvincial Administration. 4 firms in our city got the permission of disinfestation against insects in the fieal od public health, and the supervising is carried out by Provincial Health Directorate.

WHITE FLAG PROJECT

In the pphese of “White Flag Project” carried out iin common in the framework of the protocol signed between the Ministry of Health and National Education Ministry on 3 August 2006, in 2007 5 schools, in 2008 19 schools and in 2009 12 schools, totally 36 schools, deserved to have White Flag in our city.

HEALTHY VILLAGES PROJECT

In the scope of Healthy Villages Project started by our ministry in 2008, all the villages in our city are visited and the forms related to this topic are ranged.

INVESTMENTS

1-Additional Building of Burdur State Hospital: physical realisation have been completedby spending 9.044.257 tl have been spent
2- Supply Building of Yeşilova State Hospital: 1.414.474.53 TL has been spent and its physical realisation has been completed.
3- Service Building of Mouth and Tooth Care Center: there is a 1.500.000 TL Grant in Special Provincial Administration, Project Works have been copmleted and bidding process is going on.
4- Service Building of Bucak Community Health Center: there is a 1.432.000 TL Grant in Special Provincial Administration, provision of the terrain and Project Works are going on.
5- Sağlık Müdürlüğü Hizmet Binası: İl Özel İdaresinde 1.432.000 TL ödenek mevcut olup, proje ihalesi yapılarak Sağlık Bakanlığına onaya gönderilmiştir.
6- Additional Building of Gölhisar State Hospital: Approximate cost of ground studies and Project preparations has been prepared by Public Works and settlement Directorate, bidding Works are going on.
7- Karamanlı State Hospital: Construction of the building is carried out by Public Works and Settlement Directorate.
8- Service Building of Altınyayla Community Health Center: A 250.000 TL Grant has been sent by the Ministry of Health, the building is carried out by Unity of Providing Services for Towns and Villages.

PHARMACIES

There are 110 pharmacies, 1 pharmaceutical warehouse, 1 medical oxygen filling centre, 9 herb and spice seller.

INTTENSIVE CARE SERVICES

Burdur State Hospital has second class general surgery intensive care unit and first class neurology intensive care unit with six beds each.

Bucuk state hospital has a 12 bedded general intensive care unit.Three bedded newborn intensive care unit and four bedded general intensive care units are also available in Bucak private Lider Hospital.

HEMODIALISIS SERVICES

In our city there are 3 state and 1 private hemodialisis units. Burdur State Hospital Hemodialisis center serves for central province,Yeşilova,Karamanlı and Kemer provinces.Bucak hemodialisis center serves for Bucak and Ağlasun provinces and Gölhisar center for Gölhisar,Çavdır,Tefenni and Altınyayla. Patients of these centers have the benefit of transportation services since 2007.Patients are taken from their houses and after the treatment they are driven to their houses.

SOCIAL SECURITY GREEN CARD

In 2009 there was 4950 greencard application and 3806 of them had the chance to own it.
19.006 people have greencard in our city.
